In this time of great design innovations in streaming media, are we forgetting that there is only one reason for someone to visit a web site. If there is nothing worth reading then there is no reason to stay...or to come back.

Give your punters something for nothing. Most people surfing the web are looking for information, give it to them or they will go away and not come back.

The difference is change! Make sure your web site changes frequently and let people know that it will change frequently. This will give them the reason to click that bookmark or favorites button that means there is a big chance they're going to come back.

There is no point in creating an all singing all dancing Flash animated site that remains static for months on end because it's really difficult and long-winded to update. Think before you start a site whether or not it will expand easily.
