Database driven websites are definitely the way to go these days. There are a range of different ways to approach it. The most popular way for people that don't house their own web server is the online database, this consists of your host service having a database server installed and you having permission to add, remove and change data in it.

My database of choice is MySQL a free program that you can get to install on your own system for testing and adding data.


This isn't a lesson in how to install it, there are other sites that show you how better than I could, this will just show you some features and tricks etc...
